I\u00a0spent 8-10hours a day taking photos of 300 overly excited and\u00a0extremely energetic children and the rest of my time was spent looking\u00a0after them. It was very hard work which lasted in total just 9 weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On visiting day, the parents come to visit their children (yes, an\u00a0extremely busy and important day) where they bring them enough food to\u00a0feed them for a whole year!! I took family portraits for the day down\u00a0by the lake and whilst doing so I got to meet the parents of the\u00a0children I had grown to care for. All the parents I had the privilege\u00a0to meet, thanked me for &#8220;my amazing photographs&#8221; and\u00a0 expressed how my\u00a0ability to capture the emotions of their children resulted in a\u00a0photograph they would cherish forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This of course was wonderful to\u00a0hear. I have always been told since I started this job that the one\u00a0thing that makes my photographs special is the way I am able to capture the emotions in the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sometimes, when you are doing something so often it becomes so natural<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> that you forget how much skill and effort is actually required.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Hearing such compliments regarding my photographs, even from the most<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> random of people &#8211; such as the camp doctor who one day made it out of<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> his way to come to my office and congratulate me &#8211; makes me realise<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> how much I enjoy doing what I do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Knowing how happy I can make someone\u00a0through a simple photograph showing their true reflections makes the\u00a0long hours editing and organising all worth while.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> I received wonderful feedback from the directors of the camp and they<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> invited me back next summer, however, summer weddings in Lanzarote are<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> my favourite time of year so I have politely declined the offer in<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> order to make your special day the best day it could be.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently got back from my amazing trip to the United States where I\u00a0was asked to work as camp photographer during this summer of 2015.
